What A Scare

This little girl gave us a scare last week. She is okay now, but last Monday we noticed something under her chin which we thought was a lump, but it wasn't. Wednesday morning we noticed that it was getting bigger, so thought okay we need to take her into the vet to get it checked. Well that night it started drainning and we thought it was an abscess. We made an appointment to have her and her brothers looked at for Thursday so we just kept on cleaning it with water and giving her an antibiotic to help fight any kind of infection that she might have. The next day we took them in and sure enough when they were cleaning up the area they noticed something under the surface. They told us that she should have it removed just to make sure. So she stayed over night at the vets and came home friday. I know Panda and Cubby missed her that night because they were attached to me at the hip. The nice thing is that the vet commented on good they looked health wise. See we usually see this particular vets partner but he had to have a procedure himself, so he won't be in the office for awhile. He told us that these are very healthy looking kittens. I know that made us feel really good since we have been taking care of these guys for almost two months now. Now hopefully we won't have any more emergencies for awhile now with them. I just made an appointment to have a recheck of them next Friday since I will be off that day.
My life has been pretty quiet lately. Nothing really to report. I did go on a blind date a week ago yesterday and I don't think it is possible to be anything more than friends. The main reason is that there is no chemistry between us two and he smokes. See I have a really bad allergy to smoking and since he smokes I am going to have a problem. He also really didn't make a good impression on me. I guess I will just be friends and wait for him to call me again so I can tell him. Well it is almost the end of the day for me, so I better go now. Until next time...

This is Panda

This is Panda, the brother of the other two that I introduced you to yesterday. This is one of his favorite places to lay believe it or not near my mom's sewing machine. He is really cute and one of those cats that like to be in your face at all times like Bandit. Bandit it his buddy and whenever they are sleeping at night they are usually not that far from each. Most of the time they are sleeping right next to each other if Panda isn't on the pillow near my heart. Bandit is the surrogate father of the three kittens and pretty much lets them do anything they want to do to him. He is so good because he was this way with Meechi and JB also. Meechi is getting big also and he turns two next month. I can't believe that he will be two in less than a month. When his birthday comes, I will make sure to include a picture of him in the blog.
My life is pretty good, but I am a little bummed about my friend that I told you about in my last entry. It isn't going to work out between us two and that is because we have some differences and we are just glad to be friends. I had a feeling that it wasn't going to work out, but I wanted to make sure that he was aware of it and now I can move on. I am not really looking for anyone at the moment, but I will just wait and see who and what comes my way.
My parents are going to a High School Reunion of my Fathers the end of this month in Detroit and boy have I been busy making reservations for them. See he just found out about it last week and at first he wasn't going to go and then he told me to look at flights again on Tuesday and sure enough we got them for a decent price considering it is only two weeks away. I guess it has been awhile since they had a reunion, so he is excited to go to this one. I don't know if my mom is, but she is going willing because he puts up with a lot of stuff from my mom especially our cats. I have a funny story that I will share with you next time because my lunch is almost over and I need to finish eating.
Until next time...

These guys are my therapy

Boy has my life been crazy since I wrote in you last. My work load is just as bad as it was back then, but at least I have these two cute faces to come home to every night. This is Cody (grey and white one) and Cubby (dark one). There is another one that I am going to have to include his picture in my next entry. Right now I don't have any pictures with them all together. Cody is a little girl and Cubby is a little boy. These two came to us a little over a week after I wrote in you last. The third one Panda (next entry) came almost a month later. They aren't as demanding as Meechi was when we found him and at least this time they have each other to keep company and busy when we are at work.
My personal life has been kind of crazy lately. I have reconnected with some people from High School and there is this one guy that I have liked since High School and I thought I was giving him the signals that I liked him and according to another friend of mine he had no clue. I made the innitiative on Sunday in an email to just come flat out and tell him, but I haven't heard back, so I don't know if that is a good thing or bad thing. I just hoping that he feels the same way because our two other friends says that it is pretty obvious to them that I like him, but who knows if he feels the same way. Since I am single right now, I am enjoying life and having a great time with it.
Besides these little guys coming into my life the last time I did an entry. My sister was here right around Father's Day. We had a very nice visit and we had some quality time together until we had a stupid fight the night before she left. Well I am using my lunch to d

What A Week

As you can probably tell that I have been extremely busy since I left for my trip to New York. This is one the many pictures that I took on my trip. I didn't take many of people but I did take a lot of pictures of scenery and the sights. This was taken at the American Natural History Museum which was one of the places that we went to. The main place that I really wanted to go to was Ground Zero and I did that the day after this picture. Bryan parents are very nice people and in fact his father reminds me of my uncle Dave. I am going to have to do a split picture between his dad Geoff and my uncle Dave and you can see why. I don't think it is so much is looks, but I think that it is his size and his personality.
Work has been crazy for almost a month now. Our new program is now live but it so wasn't ready for us to use yet. We have had some problems with it but it seems like it has been fixed. We are still waiting for a couple reports that we have asked for, but haven't even heard a status update on them. I just find it interesting that our main boss Arlene asks for something changed in 30 days, but we still haven't gotten a report that two of us has asked for since the beginning of February. This becomes a hassle for my job because until they do this report they I have asked for I have to manually enter a log every day which takes a lot of my time to do since I can't just copy and past it into an excel file like I used to be able to do.
Well it is almost time for me to start work for the day, so I better go now. Until next time...

Only A Couple of Days to Go

I thought I better write in you before I forget to before my trip to see my sister Cyndy. We leave for NY this coming Friday. I just spoke to her a little bit ago and she seems excited that it is only a couple of days away. I know I have so much to do between work and my personal stuff before I leave. We are in the middle of another buying trip here at work and we are also about to start a new program so it is a little hectic. I am hoping by the time I come back we will be working on the new program because then I won't be overwhelmed with my work since the office manager will be entering most of the worksheets.
The only bummer about going to NY when we are is that we are missing the little guy in this picture with my sister and I his first birthday which is the day we leave. We saw him last Sunday for Easter and he is getting so big. I have a recent picture of him and if I have time to download it before we leave I will.
I have so much to do between now and the end of the day that I better go now. Until next time...

What A Game

What can I say about my Dodgers. This picture was taken at the Opening Day this past Monday and was taken by Mary's boyfriend Lee. The lady you don't know is our good friend Yvette. We had a great time even though they lost the game, but they only lost by one point.
I am going down to visit Dené again this coming weekend. I am taking Amtrak down and she is going to pick me up from the train station at Santa Ana. We are going to her niece's and nephew's birthday party but that is fine because I made a scarf for her and I wanted to give it to her not knowing that her birthday was the same as my mom's. Speaking of which I need to get her a card at least over the weekend. She always tells me not to spend my money on a card and I need to buy one this year because with all that she has done for me since my whole car situation she deserves it.
Well I should try to get some work done. I don't have much on my desk right now, but I should try to do some more testing on our new program. Until next time...

What A Relief

I got my vacation approved today for my trip to New York. I am excited because this is my first trip that I have had to take a flight since 9/11. I know my sister is happy that we are coming to meet Bryan's family since they are going to be in the states from England. We haven't met them yet and since I think that this is the guy she is going to marry, it is a good idea that we meet. them.
This cute picture is the reason why we call him Meechimouse. See a little bit before this picture was taken he was playing like crazy with this toy mouse. Also when he was really little he had these huge ears, that he eventually grew into, but they reminded us of mouse ears.
These last 5 days have been kind of rough for me. My friend Mary's dad past away last Friday. I found out this afternoon that a teacher that taught my sister, brother and I in Elementary School passed away last night. Mary is handling it pretty well except for the fact that her sister didn't put any of the money that she was getting of his aside for his arrangements. She is lucky to have lots of friends to help her get through this hard time.
Well I should get going. My day is almost over. Until next time...

What A View After the Storm

Again these are one of the pictures that I took with my new camera. I can't get over how pretty the clouds are during the break of a storm. You can't see it that well in this shot, but there was some snow on the mountains. We have had unusually cold weather for our part of the town, but I do love seeing snow every once in a while.
My day is just about over and I really can't wait for it to end. We have had meetings all week, so I have been busy with visitors in the office. Thank goodness St. Patrick's Day is tomorrow and it isn't going to be too busy that day. I am waiting for my main boss to be done with a meeting so I can go and make copies of a log that she was using during a planning meeting with one of our visitors.
Well I should get going now. I will talk to you soon. Until next time...

What A Shot

I couldn't be any happier with this picture. This is one of about 100 pictures that I have already taken with my digital camera. I am really pleased with the quality of pictures that the camera takes. I was about 30 feet away from Meechi when I took this picture and it looks like I am right in front of him. I also can't get over how clear the background is of this picture. I have many favorites right now so until I get some pictures of my friends, then you are just going to have to look at cats.
We are celebrating Mary's birthday with a Tea Party on Saturday. I am going to be bringing my camera to it so I will hopefully have a chance to get some pictures of us. We are going to be wearing hats that Mamma Dee had made for us. This should be a lot of fun. Mary loves going to the Tea Rooms and she is the one that got me hooked on them.
My work load is kind of slow right now which is good because then tomorrow I can concentrate on testing our new program. I haven't had much time until now to do the testing because I have had other projects that needed to be done. I plan on working on it all day tomorrow.
Well I should go now. My ride is just about to call me. Until next time...

Great Cousins

Tiana is the older one is this picture, but it is always fun to see family during the holidays. Tiana and I saw each other a couple of weeks ago and I am going down to her area at the end of the month of which I am so happy to be going again. I really miss having my freedom now that I don't have my car, but hopefully that won't be too much longer.
I am officially going on a real vacation next month. My sister's boyfriend's family is coming to visit her from England and we haven't met them yet, so it will be interesting to see what they are like. I am just going for the weekend, but I am not too happy about the rest of my vacation. I was hoping to take a whole week off, but my supervisor wouldn't okay it. I will just have to keep that in mind if any one else takes those two days off because I don't think it will be fair since I couldn't have them off and they get them off. I think it sucks because I have not taken more than 2 days off in a row and the one time that I want to I can't because her excuse is the time of the year. Oh well.
Well she is being nosy, so I better go now. Until next time...

Been A Busy Couple of Weeks

I thought I would put this picture in. This is my first scarf that I have ever made. I have made quite a few since this one. I think I have lost count of how many I have made since I started back in October. It is fun, but now I have to start making other things than scarves.

Everything is pretty much the same with me. I have had a rough week with work problems, but hopefully that will resolve soon. We start our testing for the new program next week, so that I will be a couple of weeks of intense work here in our office and my department. If everything goes well, then hopefully by either the last weekend of March or the first weekend of April we will go live with the new program and I will have a little bit of a break after awhile of intense work. I know the first release we will have to enter the linelist information, but after that we should be okay.
My weekend with Dené last week was wonderful. I didn't go to Knott's Berry Farm like we wanted to because of money, but we did have a lot of fun. I saw some cousin and an Uncle that I usually only see at Xmas so that was a nice change. It is so hard for me to get around lately because of my car situation. I just sent a big payment to one of my larger credit cards thanks to my refund, so hopefully after I pay that one off and one other one I should be able to afford a car by summertime. People keep on telling me that I don't have to worry about a down payment, but I don't want to have big payments, so even if I just put a couple of thousand down, it is better than nothing. My day is almost over which means my week is almost over, so I am happy about that. Well I should go now. Until next time...

What A Game

You know that this is a great sight to see. The Pittsburgh Steelers won the Super Bowl yesterday in Detroit. I think that the best part was that the Bus announced his retirement after the game so the other players wouldn't be nervous about it being his last game. I was supposed to go and watch the game with Dené and Michelle, but that wasn't able to happen so I ended up watching it with Mary at her place since our cable was out for most of the game.
So much has happened since I wrote in you last. I got a promotion. I am doing some of the work now and it wasn't supposed to take affect until April, but that is okay because at least I will used to it by the time I really have to do the work. Now if the money would only show the change of my work though.
Well in a couple of weeks I am taking Amtrak down to Santa Ana to spend the weekend with Dené. I haven't seen her since before my whole car situation happened and boy do I miss the time we had together. We are hoping to be able to go to Knott's Berry Farm if both of us can afford it. We will see. Well I gotta go now. I will talk to you soon. Until next time...

Gonna Be A Bear

This pretty much describes how I have been feeling lately. I have been so busy and now that I have been starting work at 7:30am in the morning I am starting to get really tired around 4pm. I think my supervisor understands so she isn't really too mad about my work load when it is after 4pm.
I have a couple of big projects that I want to try to finish by the end of the week so I am not trying to get it done on Friday. I know that I can get one of them done by the end of the day, but the other two will take probably the rest of the week. At least we aren't too busy at the moment that I can get them done.
My personal life has been pretty good. I saw Marcus last Wednesday after my dad got off of work. I really don't know what to expect with him any more. I really enjoy being with him, but I know he doesn't want to hurt me so he tries not to get to close to me. I think the nice thing is that we can call on each other if we need to and as long as he keeps his end of the bargain I should be happy about it. So far he has only done that once and he seems to understand that I was really upset about it and he made up for it by picking me up last Monday from work.
I have been knitting quite a bit now. I have been told that I am getting pretty good at it. I am doing mostly scarves right now, but they are all different colors and boy do they look nice. Cyndy asked me to make one for her friend Tracy's birthday. I can't wait. I think the next one I make is going to be more of a wrap then a scarf though. Well I gotta go now. Until next time...

This is my little cat wondering what I was doing in the backyard with my camera. He is such an in your face kind of cat. He makes me smile whenever he wants to be baby kitty and he is a year old now. He did it to me last night while I was sleeping. He is too cute. This picture isn't bad considering I took it with the camera on my cell phone. Mary bought me a cell phone as one of my Xmas presents. It has come in handy, but I just have to watch my minutes. My friends are mostly on Verizon so I don't have to worry about it so much.
So much has happened since I wrote in you last. I lost my car due to stupidity of not paying my registration. That is okay because I get a chance to save up some money and also paying off some of my credit cards. I am pretty sure that I can do that in less than a year and then I will be all set.

Well I gotta go now. I got lots to do today. Until next time...

Not Much Going On

I don't know why I seem to panic whenever I don't hear from a guy a couple of days after we do what I did with Marcus. In fact, the Sunday after Thanksgiving he called me and we go together. I haven't seen him since, but at least I know that he is still interested. I know he is interested but what I don't know is if I can tell my friends from High School or not, so I am not saying anything to them or not. We didn't discuss that because I don't talk to many people, but the two people that I do talk to I don't know who they talk to.
Christmas is just right around the corner. I can't believe that because it seems like Xmas to me all year long since we here are at release our new Xmas stuff in February and we our already working on Xmas next year. This year I am making a lot of my gifts because all the people that I am getting gifts for like the scarves that I make, so that is easy. I just have to get a couple of gifts that I can't buy. Well I should go now. Until next time...

What A Weekend

It has been awhile since I wrote and I have a chance now so I thought I would send you a quick note. I have been really busy lately and now it has finally slowed down. I really don't know what to do now because something happened Friday night that I have been wanting to happen since High School and I don't know what is going to come from it. See in High School I had a major crush on this guy by the name of Marcus and I have always wanted to go out with him. Well I went to his place on Friday and ended up being with him all night. It was wonderful, but I don't know how this is going to end. I don't know if he wants more and I really wished I did. He made me feel so special that I couldn't believe that it was for real. I didn't sleep well all night because I kept on waking up thinking it was a dream and I told him that. He kind of laughed and pinched me to tell me that it wasn't a dream. He told me he would call me sometime this week and I want to call him, but I want to make sure I am not too pushy with him because I don't want to scare him off. When I really like someone, I tend to scare them off and deep down inside I don't want to do that this time. I really like being with him and I think that I can actually say that I can see a future with him, but I just want to make sure that he isn't leading me on and he feels the same way also. Well I gotta go now. Got lots to do and my supervisor left because she isn't feeling so well. Until next time...

What A Great Ending

Well it is about 10 years in the making, but finally Michael is living with Victor. It happened I think in a very negative way, but at least it happened. Patti is too damn negative when it comes to Michael and he has had it. I will keep you updated with how it is going, but until then. Not much else has been going on since I wrote last. Work is extremely busy and I think we are just going to be busy through the end of the year. I am hoping to get the day before Thanksgiving off to have a relaxing 5 day weekend, but I will know more by the end of the week if that will be possible.
Gotta go now. Until next time...

What Can I Say

I have so much going on in my life right now that I don't know where to start. We are in the middle of the October buying trip at my work and it is just absolutely crazy. My temp has fell right into the swing on things and handling it pretty nicely. Only problem is that we are not going to have our trainning until next year, so at least we are going to have some help through the busiest time of the year and then after that will be the Christmas Holidays and we should slow done by then. I honestly don't know what I would have done without her here, so it is actually very nice having her. I am going to be sad to see her go.
I am a year older now. My birthday was last Thursday and I had a nice quiet birthday. I was watching 2 dogs at my house and with that I had to stay at my house whenever I wasn't working. I spent the weekend with Dene and Joey. I saw Michael on Sunday. The cool thing is that his mom and dad are going out of town this weekend and I am going to spend time with him. It is going to be nice because it is just going to be the two of us, so maybe we can have some major talking time to see what is going on in his life.
Well it is the end of the day and I have a nail appointment, so I must go. Until next time...

What A Couple of Weeks

What a day. We are now in our busy time called the October Buying Trip here at my work and boy is it crazy. My temp as been here for three weeks now and she has been doing pretty good. My only concern is that she has called in sick one day each of those three weeks. Sandy said her concern to her about it today and I am hoping that her calling in sick will cease for awhile. She was lucky I didn't call in sick yesterday because I almost did, but I am glad I didn't because Sandy would have been in a worse mood than she was yesterday today. The good news is that we are already getting worksheets and project list from the crew on the trip so that makes my job easier.
My birthday is just one week away. I am kind of depressed because I don't have any one special to celebrate it with, but at least I have good friends. I am watching two dogs for a client of mine at my house who is having their house fumigated for termites starting next Wednesday so we are busy trying to get the house ready for them. Besides that I am going to spend the weekend with Dene and Joey down in HB. Well I gotta go now. Until next time...

Introducing Bradley

I don't think I officially introduced the little guy in the picture on the right. That is Bradley who is my sister's best friend Gayle's second son. He came to us in April and boy is he adorable. I am pretty sure he is a lot bigger now than shown in this picture. I know Gayle is not too happy that there is a chance that my sister won't be home this Christmas, but hopefully with us being there for her she will be a little more understanding. See Cyndy's boyfriend's family has invited her for Christmas this year and I think she is going. Heck you never know, she might come here for Thanksgiving like she did a couple of years ago.
Work is kind of slow right now, but heck it is nice because this is a break before the storm. My temp came in today, so she is doing most of the stuff that I would normally have to do. Right now I am pretty much doing paperwork and stuff like that so I can catch up on that and not have that over my head when we get really busy. The temp is working out very nicely and I am glad that she seems to be catching on really quickly. I just hope that when I have to turn it over to her, that she will be able to handle it without too many problems.
Well I should go now. Until next time...
