Introducing Bradley

I don't think I officially introduced the little guy in the picture on the right. That is Bradley who is my sister's best friend Gayle's second son. He came to us in April and boy is he adorable. I am pretty sure he is a lot bigger now than shown in this picture. I know Gayle is not too happy that there is a chance that my sister won't be home this Christmas, but hopefully with us being there for her she will be a little more understanding. See Cyndy's boyfriend's family has invited her for Christmas this year and I think she is going. Heck you never know, she might come here for Thanksgiving like she did a couple of years ago.
Work is kind of slow right now, but heck it is nice because this is a break before the storm. My temp came in today, so she is doing most of the stuff that I would normally have to do. Right now I am pretty much doing paperwork and stuff like that so I can catch up on that and not have that over my head when we get really busy. The temp is working out very nicely and I am glad that she seems to be catching on really quickly. I just hope that when I have to turn it over to her, that she will be able to handle it without too many problems.

Busy Times

What can I say about how busy it is right now here at work. The nice thing is that all of us here in the office went to John and Ngan's wedding a week ago yesterday and boy was it beautiful. When I am used to seeing John in shorts and a t-shirt everyday and then to see him in a tuxedo, boy is it the difference between night and day it seems like. Ngan is a lucky lady to have him as her husband and they are very cute together.

I have decided not to go my reunion next weekend in Vegas. I just can't see myself spending almost $600 just to go there for the weekend and then have to turn around and come back the next day. I have a friend by the name of Alex who lives there and offered to let me stay at his place, but I think it is too late for me to get tickets and so forth. I might take him up on the offer later on this year because I am going to need to get away from my work hell hole before the end of the year. I don't know when that is going to be possible because of all that is going on here, but we will just wait and see. I am having a hard time trying to figure out when I can take my last day of vacation that I have coming to me this year. I am hoping to take it the day before Thanksgiving, but I don't think that is going to happen since I have a lot of work to do between now and then, on top of that our program is supposed to go live that weekend and I am hoping we don't have to work that weekend.

What a great way to celebrate Michael's birthday. I think the only thing that would have made this picture better is if Victor, Dene, Pete and Patti were in it. One of these days, I will get a picture of all of us in it and it will be one of those priceless ones. I know a lot of people weren't there, but what can I say. I think we were all very happy to be there with Michael and I know he was happy to see me there since it was a surprise. I might Dorothy Michael's girlfriend and she seems like a really nice girl. She is adopted also, so I know they can talk about a lot of things and she can relate to some of the issues that Michael has gone through. Well I should go now. Until next time...
